Abstract

Indonesia is a country with significant solar energy potential, reaching 4.8 kWh/m2 per day due to its location along the equator. Solar energy can be utilized as a Solar Power Plant (PLTS). In industry, the use of PLTS allows the independent production of electricity from solar energy, which is a free energy source. This can reduce dependence on energy sources purchased from PLN and reduce long-term operational costs. By taking advantage of its geographical location, which supports abundant solar energy, PT. Kino Indonesia Tbk has a PLTS On Grid system with a total installed capacity of 272 KWp. Calculations and financial analysis of PLTS On Grid at PT. Kino Indonesia TBK using the quantitative through using HOMERPRO software show that the total initial investment cost is IDR 1,254,072,000. Annual operating costs reach IDR 12,523,520. O&M costs for 20 years amounted to IDR 70,197,589.36. The Net Present Cost (NPC) of this project is IDR 1,366,933,000, while the payback period is estimated to be 4,2 years. Despite the sizeable initial investment, this project offers the potential for a good return on investment within a reasonable timeframe, with ongoing financial benefits.
