Abstract
Calculating the volume of work is crucial in construction projects as it forms the main basis for managing cost, time, and resources. Without accurate calculations, projects risk budget overruns, schedule delays, and material waste. The volume of structural work has a very large percentage, which is 96.53% of the total volume of work, meaning the volume of structural work has a major impact on a construction project. Work volume calculations can be performed using conventional methods or by using Building Information Modeling (BIM) based software, one of which is Tekla Structures software. The capability of Tekla Structures software to directly detect clashes in the modeling, such as a clash between an Anchor Rod and reinforcing steel, is significant. This type of clash falls into the Soft Clash category, or a 'subtle clash,' where components or designs intersect because they do not meet a specified tolerance. The calculation results using Tekla Structures are smaller, with a difference of 27% in Roundbar volume, 2.2% in Concrete volume, 15.9% in Wiremesh volume, and 16.4% in Steel Structure volume.
