PENGARUH MOTIVASI, SELF EFFICACY DAN PENGETAHUAN AUDIT TERHADAP MINAT BERKARIR SEBAGAI AUDITOR (Studi Kasus Mahasiswa Akuntansi Universitas Nusa Putra)

This study aims to determine the influence of motivation, self-efficacy, and audit knowledge on the interest in pursuing a career as an auditor among Accounting students at Nusa Putra University. This research employs a quantitative method with a survey approach. The population consists of all Accounting students at Nusa Putra University, and the sample size was determined using the Slovin formula, resulting in 80 respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 25.
The results show that, partially, motivation and self-efficacy have no significant effect on the interest in pursuing a career as an auditor, while audit knowledge has a significant effect. Simultaneously, motivation, self-efficacy, and audit knowledge significantly influence the interest in pursuing a career as an auditor. These findings emphasize that enhancing audit knowledge can be a key driver in increasing students’ interest in an auditor career, and the role of motivation and self-efficacy will be more optimal when accompanied by strengthened audit knowledge competence.
