Abstract

This research aims to analyze the impact of financial literacy and lifestyle on the use of Paylater by employees of PT. Kenlee Indonesia, with self-control as an intervening variable. The research approach employs a quantitative method with a causal associative design. The sampling technique used is non-probability purposive sampling, resulting in 140 respondents who are employees of PT. Kenlee Indonesia, Sukabumi branch. Data were collected through closed questionnaires using a 5-point Likert scale and analyzed using Partial Least Squares - Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) software, SmartPLS 4. The results indicate that financial literacy does not significantly affect the use of Paylater, while lifestyle has a positive and significant impact on the use of Paylater. Both financial literacy and lifestyle positively and significantly affect self-control. Self-control also has a positive and significant influence on the use of Paylater. Furthermore, financial literacy and lifestyle significantly affect the use of Paylater through self-control as a mediating variable. These findings emphasize the importance of self-control in linking financial literacy and lifestyle to the behavior of Paylater usage among employees.
