EFEKTIVITAS PENGGUNAAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN TEKA-TEKI SILANG DALAM MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS 5 SD NEGERI 5 CIBADAK

Low math learning outcomes are a problem in this study caused by several factors, namely the lack of use of learning media used, and students' lack of interest in math subjects. The solution offered uses crossword puzzle learning media because this media has never been used, and has many benefits that can help the student learning process. This study was conducted to measure the increase in mathematics learning outcomes between pretest and posttest using crossword learning media and analyze the effectiveness of using crossword learning media in improving mathematics learning outcomes. The approach used is quantitative, pre-experimental method that uses one class in the form of pretest and posttest. The population and sample in this study, all 5th grade students. The data collection technique of this study was in the form of a test sheet. Data analysis techniques to test the hypothesis of this study using t-test and N-Gain test. The results of the hypothesis calculation obtained a Sig. (2-tailed) pretest and posttest value of 0.007 <0.05 so that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. Based on data analysis, the N-Gain test obtained an average of 13.39%. These results based on the N-Gain effectiveness interpretation category show the use of crossword learning media in improving learning outcomes in grade 5 elementary schools with an effectiveness level of “ineffective”.
