Abstract

Selecting a suitable coffee menu often poses a challenge for consumers with Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) at Cafe Muse, due to the limited information regarding acidity (pH) levels, caffeine content, additives, and brewing methods. This study aims to develop a web-based Decision Support System (DSS) to recommend GERD-friendly coffee options. The Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method is employed as the core calculation to evaluate menu alternatives based on predefined criteria. The criteria weighting was determined through consultation with an internal medicine specialist, Dr. Rivo Yulianto Sujono, Sp.PD, M.Kes., to ensure the accuracy and medical relevance of the recommendations. The system was developed using the Laravel framework and MySQL database and has undergone functional validation via blackbox testing and user acceptance validation via usability testing. The SAW calculation results show that the
Americano menu obtained the highest preference value of 1.000, ranking it first as the most recommended option. Overall, testing proves that this system is effective in objectively presenting coffee menu recommendations, assisting consumers in making informed decisions, and contributing to the enhancement of service quality at Cafe Muse
