Abstract

PT. Tirta Fresindo Jaya Muara Jaya is a company engaged in the bottled water and beverage industry. The production process of Bottled Drinking Water is a series of activities aimed at ensuring the quality, safety, and purity of drinking
water ready for public consumption. One of these processes is water sterilization using UV lamps. The water passes through a sterilization system directly exposed to UV light with an intensity set above 85%, ensuring that microorganisms and bacteria in the water are maximally eliminated after passing through the system. Currently, monitoring the UV lamp intensity requires users to manually check the sensor readings of the UV lamp intensity (Viqua 254nm-HF) directly on the Viqua device located in the ozonator area. Frequent errors or delays in monitoring UV
lamp intensity have resulted in less effective sterilization, leaving microorganisms in the water and necessitating reprocessing. To ensure the UV lamp intensity is continuously monitored and maintained, an IoT (Internet of Things)-based UV lamp intensity monitoring system is developed with a web interface. The system displays UV lamp intensity in real time on the web and triggers an alarm if the light intensity falls below 85%. After testing, the result is that the system can display the intensity of UV lights in real time with an accuracy value of 99% based on actual comparison of viqua devices. If the intensity falls below 85%, the system sends a Telegram
notification to the user, and the alarm is triggered.
