Abstract
This study aims to examine the effect of interactive learning media on students’ conceptual understanding of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) at the elementary school level. Interactive media such as Wordwall were used to enhance student engagement and facilitate the understanding of abstract concepts. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a equivalent control group design. The subjects were fifth-grade students from SD Budi Luhur Sukabumi and SDK Kehidupan Baru. Data were collected through Pre-test and Post-test, observation sheets, and interviews. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ conceptual understanding after using interactive learning media. Students who received instruction using Wordwall showed higher learning outcomes compared to those who were taught using conventional methods. The interactive media helped present the IPAS material—especially topics like Indonesia’s geographical features and its identity as a maritime and agrarian country—in a more visual and enjoyable way. This finding supports constructivist learning theory and highlights the importance of active and visual learning approaches in elementary education.
