PERANCANGAN SISTEM INFORMASI PENJADWALAN DOSEN MENGUNAKAN ALGORITMA GENETIKA BERBASIS WEB DI UNIVERSITAS NUSA PUTRA

This study describes the design of a lecturer scheduling system using a website- based genetic algorithm, lecturer scheduling is a crucial aspect in educational management that requires special attention. This study aims to design and implement a lecturer scheduling information system based on a web application at Nusa Putra University. The system development method uses a genetic algorithm literature study approach, machine learning, needs analysis, system design, technology selection, web system development, implementation, fitness results and blackbox testing trials, document writing, evaluation, and presentation preparation. In this study, the focus is on the availability of lecturers, course specializations, workload balance, and lecturer preferences, as well as flexibility factors. The use of modern technology and supporting software helps ensure efficiency and accuracy in the scheduling process. The result is a lecturer scheduling information system that facilitates schedule preparation, minimizes overlap, and considers lecturer preferences and workload balance. The results of the fitness test showed no significant errors, and all main operations of the system functioned as planned. Routine evaluations are carried out to ensure the quality and smooth implementation of the blackbox testing system. This study contributes to the development of more efficient educational management through the application of information technology in lecturer scheduling.
