Abstract
CNC laser engraver machines are used to automatically carve materials, creating precise details. The advantage of this machine lies in its ability to receive data directly from the computer, enabling efficient automation processes. This machine is part of the CNC machine group which converts the program language (G-Code) into axis movements on the machine. However, today's CNC laser engraving machines tend to be expensive, prompting a desire to design more affordable, lightweight, and portable versions. With a focus on reducing weight, ease of use, and affordable prices, this research aims to design and build a portable CNC laser engraver machine. It is hoped that this innovation can increase machine mobility, enable use in various locations, and respond more effectively to the needs of modern industry. Research on the design of a portable laser engraver machine was carried out to produce a laser engraver frame that is portable or can be carried anywhere easily, at a low price in the range of Rp. 2,369,310,-and the machine is light at 6.8 kilograms, and has good accuracy. The method used is design, where the laser engraver machine is designed and built, then its performance is tested. The design of the portable laser engraver machine has dimensions of 250 mm x 155 mm with a working area of 25 cm x 15.5 cm. The frame is made using Autodesk Inventor 2020 software. The laser engraver machine is controlled using an Arduino Uno 2560 for operation. The laser engraver performance test results were successful with product accuracy on the X axis of 98.33% and the Y axis of 98.33%. Tested using the ISO/R286 standard method.
