Abstract
In modern building construction, steel structures are a reliable choice because the construction is light, the work can shorten construction time and is able to meet the needs for strength and durability. Castella steel is one of the materials manufactured from conventional steel which has been proven to have a higher moment resistance than conventional steel due to the increased moment of inertia but remains light because the weight does not increase. The aim of this research is to obtain comparative results of steel structure designs with variations of castellar rafters and conventional steel as well as variations of bar frames. and also compare the results of the cost budget plans from the three variations. From this research, it was concluded that the dimensions used were 450. 200 . 9 . 14 is made into castella steel with dimensions 675.200.9.14 for the truss using dimensions T.200.100, T.175.175 and T.100.100 from the budget analysis of the total cost of conventional steel portal work Rp. 282,873,552 while castella steel Rp. 212,190,787 and a truss rafter with a T profile with a planned budget of Rp. 111,266,214 thus the most efficient in terms of cost is the truss rafter and for ease of implementation is the conventional steel variation rafter.
