Abstract

Sukabumi is one of the cities in Indonesia that has experienced rapid development in recent years. With the increasing number of people and vehicles entering the city, more traffic problems are congested and road conditions are uncomfortable for pedestrians. Pedestrian paths are one of the completeness of a city, where it is desperately needed for the citizens of the city to move easily, safely and comfortably from one place to another. It is not a trading activity because it can endanger safety and reduce the comfort of pedestrian circulation.
What we know today is that many Pedestrian routes are not used as their main function, the pedestrian paths that should provide comfort for pedestrians turn their function into street vendors' selling activities. Quantitative methods are used in terms of processing quantified perceptual questionnaire data, in order to obtain statistical correctness to a number of alternative opinions circulated among representative samples, sampling techniques are generally conducted randomly, and quantitative methods are used. data collection using research instruments, data analysis is quantitative/statistik with the aim of testing established hypotheses.
The conclusion of the percentage of respondents' perception was based on conditions on pedestrian paths by adding protection from the hot sun, improving pedestrian scenery, improving road circulation and filtering vehicle noise and adding the completeness of pedestrian path facilities to be very comfortable.
