Abstract

With the increasing number of motorized vehicles, the need for sophisticated security systems is increasingly necessary. This research focuses on developing a motor vehicle security system using fingerprint technology with an Internet of Things (IoT) based approach.

This system is powered by the NodeMCU ESP32, which allows access via fingerprint verification to replace the use of physical keys, and replaces conventional motor and starter contacts. The GPS module provides advanced tracking dimensions, enabling real-time position monitoring via Smartphone application. Firebase functions as a Realtime Database for storage and management of user data and vehicle locations.

By implementing the Internet of Things, vehicle owners can access and control vehicle security in real-time via smart devices such as smartphones. This development method is tested to measure the level of security and user comfort. The research results are expected to make a positive contribution to the development of vehicle security systems, with the hope of reducing the number of vehicle thefts and providing effective and practical solutions for maintaining vehicle security.
