Abstract

A Geographic Information System (GIS) integrates hardware, software, geographical data, and human resources to collect, store, manage, analyze, and display geographic information. This study aims to develop a web-based GIS for mapping Optical Distribution Point (ODP) cables at PT Proxi Jaringan Nusantara in Sukabumi City and Regency. Using the Disciplined Agile Delivery (DAD) method, the system is designed with the MERN stack, utilizing ReactJS and TailwindCSS for the frontend and ExpressJS with Sequelize for the backend.
Functional testing confirms that features such as login, sign-up, mapping, customer data management, and user management operate effectively. Lighthouse testing results are impressive: Performance 94, Accessibility 91, Best Practices 96, and SEO 91, with the Progressive Web App (PWA) activated. Key performance metrics include a First Contentful Paint of 1.1 seconds, Total Blocking Time of 0 ms, Speed Index of 1.1 seconds, Largest Contentful Paint of 1.3 seconds, and Cumulative Layout Shift of 0.004, indicating fast load times and stable layout.
Accessibility testing shows 21 passed audits, emphasizing proper alternative text, heading structure, color contrast, and keyboard navigation. Best Practices testing shows 13 passed audits, covering HTTPS, resource optimization, application security, and modern HTML and CSS usage. SEO testing shows 10 passed audits, including relevant meta tags, clean URL structure, appropriate headings, and image optimization.
Overall, this study demonstrates that the web-based GIS for mapping ODP cables at PT Proxi Jaringan Nusantara has been effectively developed, meeting high standards and providing significant benefits for telecommunications network management in Sukabumi. This system is expected to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of PT Proxi Jaringan Nusantara's telecommunications infrastructure management.
