ANALISIS FAKTOR - FAKTOR PENYEBAB RENDAHNYA MINAT BACA SISWA DI SDN CIMANGGU 1

This study aims to find out what factors are the cause of low interest in reading students at SDN Cimanggu 1. The sample used from the total population with a margin of error of 5% of the total population of 402 students is 186 students. The method in this study uses a quantitative approach with explanatory research design. The population in this study were all students at SDN Cimanggu 1 which amounted to 402 students, including 211 girls and 191 boys. Based on the results of data analysis that there are only 3 factors that have a significant influence on student interest in reading at SDN Cimanggu 1 only in internal factors, namely reading motivation with the obtained t-statistic value of 6.539> 1.96, it shows that reading motivation has a significant influence on student interest in reading, students' reading comprehension ability with the results of t-statistic value of 3.189> 1.96, and reading habits obtained t-statistic value of 2.181> 1.96. The results also show that there are 4 factors that do not have a significant influence on students' reading interest at SDN Cimanggu 1, namely reading materials with a t- statistic value of 0.546 < 1.96 with an original sample value of 0.041, the school environment with a t-statistic value obtained t-statistic 0.165 < 1.96 and an original sample value of -0.010, school environment with a t-statistic value obtained t- statistic 0.165 < 1.96 and original sample value of -0.010, school environment with a t-statistic value obtained t-statistic is 0.845 < 1.96 and original sample value of
0.060 and technology (smartphone) with a t-statistic value of 0.762 < 1.96 and original sample value of -0.037.
