Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of the use of transparent mica manipulative media on the learning activity of grade V students. This study is a research that uses a quantitative approach with the type of True Experimental Design experimental research with the form of pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study is grade V students of SDN 01 Karangtengah and SDN 04 Karangtengah. The sample used in this study was 31 students in grade V of SDN 01 Karangtengah as the control class and 31 students of grade V of SDN 04 Karangtengah as an experimental class. The instruments used in this study are in the form of observation of 16 statements and tests of 5 questions. The analysis of this study uses the Mann Whitney test using SPSS 25. It is known that the value of Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) both in observation data and tests of 0.000 < 0.05 or 5% which means that Ha is accepted, namely the use of transparent mica manipulative media has an effect on students' learning activity in mathematics subjects in grade V elementary school.
