Abstract
This research focuses on the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at Kuta Public Elementary School, which show that 25 students did not reach the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) in the pretest, with an average Score of 58.61, the lowest Score being 50, and the highest being 80. The aim of this study is to evaluate the impact of using Square Root Board (PAKU) teaching aids on students' learning outcomes in the topic of Square Root. An experimental method with a quantitative approach was used, employing a One Group Pretest-Posttest design and involving the entire student population of Kuta Public Elementary School. The research sample consisted of fifth-grade students selected through Purposive Sampling technique. Data collection methods included observation, tests, interviews, documentation, and literature review. Data analysis involved Normality Test, T-Test, N-Gain Test, and instrument validity test. The results of the study indicate a positive influence of PAKU on students' learning outcomes, with an increase of 56% (classified as "Moderately Effective"). The implication of this research underScores the importance of using PAKU teaching aids in mathematics education, especially in challenging and monotonous topics, to enhance students' understanding of the Square Root topic at Kuta Public Elementary School in Sukabumi Regency.
