Through an interest in reading, it is hoped that curiosity will arise without being forced to explore information and knowledge so that a person does not only rely on information from other people, but rather the information from the results he reads is based on his reasoning abilities. Interest in reading has an important role in motivating students to expand their vocabulary in gaining knowledge about various topics, so that students are able to explore their understanding and insight from an early age, both in communicating and writing, and give birth to positive habits. Therefore, the researcher took the research title The Relationship between Reading Interest of SDK BPK Penabur Sukabumi Students and Narrative Writing Skills, which aims to determine the relationship between reading interest of SDK BPK Penabur Sukabumi students and narrative writing skills, resulting in better writing skills. The approach used is a quantitative approach, using the Ex Post Facto method by collecting data through questionnaires by students and the data analysis technique used is statistical correlation analysis and data collection techniques using saturated samples. Overall, the variable interest in reading and narrative writing skills have a significant relationship in SDK BPK Penabur Sukabumi.
