Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon that prospective workers must have good knowledge and skills, so that they can meet the qualifications desired by the company. In this case, education and job training are very important. How does the Sukabumi Regency government make efforts to improve the knowledge and skills of prospective workers so that prospective workers do not have difficulty finding work.
This research is quantitative research. This research aims to determine the effect of education and job training on the competency of prospective workers at the Sukabumi Regency Job Training Center. This research uses primary and secondary data where data collection uses questionnaires, interviews and documentation. In this study the researcher used validity analysis, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, t test, f test and coefficient of determination test using SPSS 25. The population in this study were all wave 1 job training participants at the Sukabumi Regency Job Training Center. totaling 128. The research results obtained using the t test and f test show that education and job training have a positive and significant effect on the competency of prospective workers. In the coefficient of determination test, the data obtained was 82.5% which could be explained by education and job training, while the remaining 17.5% could be explained by the influence of other variables not examined by the author.
