Abstract

The presence of the use of technology such as IoT, AI and robotics is a characteristic of industry 5.0, this will be an opportunity and also a challenge for the emergence of new types of work so that as graduates who will enter the world of work you need thorough preparation, especially in hard skills and soft skills. The high level of competition has caused an increase in the number of open unemployed according to the highest level of education completed (university) in Indonesia over the last five years. This research aims to determine the influence of hard skills and soft skills on work readiness of management study program students in facing the industrial revolution 5.0. In this study, the respondents used were 140 active students in the 2020 management study program. The method used is a descriptive quantitative method with an associative approach. The analysis used uses descriptive statistical analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. Data obtained from distributing questionnaires were then processed using descriptive, normality tests, multicollinearity tests, heteroscedasticity tests, multiple regression tests, partial tests (t tests), simultaneous tests (F tests) and coefficient of determination tests (R2). The results of the research show that there is an influence between hard skill and soft skill variables on work readiness, especially for management students at Nusa Putra Sukabumi University, which is positive and significant both partially and simultaneously. So it can be interpreted that hard skills and soft skills have important implications in increasing the work readiness of students in the management study program at Nusa Putra Sukabumi University.
