PERANCANGAN BUKU ILUSTRASI “BEAUTY IN ME” SEBAGAI MEDIA KAMPANYE ANTI BODY SHAMING PADA REMAJA PEREMPUAN

Body shaming is the act of demeaning or criticizing someone's body in relation to negative judgments about their body shape, size, color, or physical appearance. It has become a serious issue affecting the mental and emotional health of adolescent girls. To address this problem, an anti-body shaming campaign is much needed. This research focuses on designing an illustrated book as a campaign tool aimed at raising awareness, educating, and empowering adolescent girls towards self- acceptance and appreciation of their body shapes. It is conducted using quantitative research methods where the researcher will gather data by engaging the target audience to design an illustrated book on body shaming among adolescent girls. The results of this illustrated book design are expected to provide a positive outlook on diverse body shapes, enhance self-confidence, and help build a supportive environment among adolescent girls. Thus, this book is expected to be an effective tool in the anti-body shaming campaign to create positive body awareness and help change societal paradigms towards unrealistic beauty standards.
