Abstract
Indonesia has various kinds of cultural diversity that we can see, such as traditional clothes, artifacts, music, dance, and others. One of the Indonesian cultures in West Java is the Sundanese script. Sundanese script is also one of the cultural elements that is preserved without exception for children with special needs such as blind people. As well as article 6 paragraph 6 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 4 of 1997 concerning persons with disabilities, namely Every person with disabilities has the same right to develop their talents, abilities and social life, especially for children with disabilities in the family and community environment. Therefore, to cultivate and develop Sundanese script for the blind using tactile book media or tactile books. Tactile book is a book that has visual illustrations that can be read with the sense of touch. The method applied in this study is a qualitative descriptive method using data collection methods through literature studies and interviews. The results of the research are in the form of designing a tactile book as a learning medium for Sundanese script for the visually impaired. It is hoped that the results of this study can provide useful information for the blind in preserving Sundanese script culture in Sukabumi.
