ANALISIS KINERJA RUAS JALAN AKIBAT PARKIR PADA BAHU JALAN SEPANJANG JL. AHMAD YANI KOTA SUKABUMI

The population growth and increasing number of motor vehicles have impacted the performance of road sections in Sukabumi City. One of the common issues faced is the irregular parking on the road shoulders, especially on Jl. Ahmad Yani, one of the main roads in the city. In this study, the MKJI 1997 method is used to analyze the road section's performance. A comparison will be made between the degree of saturation and Level of Service (ITP) under two conditions. Based on the analysis using the MKJI 1997 method, when there is parking activity on the road shoulder, the degree of saturation obtained is 0.91, and the average vehicle speed is 28.08 km/h, with an ITP category of F. After removing parking activities from the road shoulder, the analysis using the MKJI 1997 method shows a decrease in the degree of saturation to 0.40 and an increase in the average vehicle speed to 39 km/h, resulting in an increased ITP category of C. This change indicates a significant improvement in terms of reduced saturation and increased vehicle speed. In the PTV-Vissim modeling, after removing parking, the average vehicle speed increases by 45%. The overall analysis results show that by eliminating parking activities on the road shoulder, there is an improvement in the road section's performance with increased vehicle speed and decreased saturation degree, contributing to an improved ITP category.
