Abstract
Modeling a construction design currently still uses a lot of 2D models, making a job often clash between disciplines, especially civil and mechanical (piping) work. This can happen because the information in the 2D image is incomplete or sometimes overlooked. Using the Prostructure software from Bentley for modeling a construction design based on Open Building Information Modeling (BIM), it is possible to show 3D models. To get the output in the form of Clash Detection of the structural and mechanical work of the Hydro Paq building, an analysis of the Building Information Modeling (BIM) concept must be applied. In this study, the authors took one of the EPC projects in Indonesia carried out by PT. Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk in Operational Department 3 (DOP 3), namely the Jatiluhur I SPAM Project. The object of the research itself focuses on the Hydro Paq building because it has a very complicated design and many interfaces between structures and mechanical piping, so it is not enough to just use 2D depictions. There are two methods used in this research: literature study and data processing by observation. After conducting this research with the BIM concept, it turns out that it can describe better visuals so that Clash Detection can be carried out between structure and mechanical piping. This can prevent errors in the field due to work that is out of sync.
