PERANCANGAN DAN PENERAPAN SISTEM ABSENSI SISWA PADA MAPEL LINTAS MINAT DI SMAN 1 CIGOMBONG MENGGUNAKAN FACE RECOGNITION BERBASIS WEB

SMAN 1 Cigombong is a senior high school that uses KURTILAS which is located on Jalan Watesjaya, Cigombong District, Bogor Regency, West Java. The presence of students contains two meanings, namely the problem of attendance and absence of students at school related to student achievement. The attendance system for SMAN 1 Cigombong students who take English and German cross-interest subjects still uses an attendance book which has several weaknesses such as being easily lost, easily damaged, and students can manipulate records. Therefore, the researcher proposes a facial recognition system that helps the process of recording attendance data, makes it easier for teachers to record attendance, and facilitates a school management information system. The method used in the development of this attendance system is the waterfall method which starts from the analysis, design, coding, testing and support stages. Meanwhile, in the process of collecting data, several methods were used, namely interviews,observation and literature studies. the result of this research is that the system can detect students' faces during attendance using face recognition, according to the students' facial data stored in the database when capturing the face ID.
