Abstract

PT. Milko Beverage Industry, as a dairy beverage processing company, holds significant potential for generating waste that can lead to pollution and have negative impacts on the environment and human well-being. Therefore, there is a need for a system that can aid in determining the suitability of wastewater before its discharge into the environment. In this study, a system will be developed for assessing the wastewater's suitability, aiming to achieve accuracy and assist WWTP personnel in remotely and real-time monitoring of wastewater through the Internet of Things (IoT) based fuzzy logic Sugeno and Telegram Bot. The parameters considered adhere to the standards established by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry in Regulation No. 5 of 2014 regarding wastewater quality standards. The study employs sensors such as temperature (DS18B20), pH (4502C), turbidity (SEN0189), and ammonia gas (MQ135) connected to the esp32 microcontroller. Sensor data and wastewater suitability decisions can be monitored through the Telegram bot application. Based on the tested research, pH sensors exhibited an accuracy rate of 87.53%, temperature sensors of 96.71%, turbidity sensors of 89.57%, and ammonia gas sensors of 99.49%. The research findings indicate that the decision support and control system utilizing the integrated Sugeno fuzzy logic method and Telegram Bot were successful in determining wastewater suitability. This system is anticipated to enhance waste management, elevate awareness of wastewater quality importance, and contribute to the development of monitoring and controlling wastewater quality technology.
