Abstract

The electricity system is a series in which in Normative Language there is generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity, Every process of electric power distribution will always find symptoms of problem symptoms, this is based on the theory of Impedance and Inductance which will cause voltage and current instability that will have an impact on supporting components in the distribution of electric power, to maximize the distribution process, So a protection system is needed. This protection system is used as a safety for components as a support to extend the life of components or minimize damage, in accordance with its portion as a safety, which is expected to work as well as possible to detect interference that can harm equipment and even damage some components with variables of Sensitivity, Reliability, and Selective. If there is a voltage or current instability in a Substation (Switchyard) caused by foreign body interference that causes phase disturbance, the Over Current Relay Protection System will instruct the Power Breaker (PMT) to open so as not to spread to other components such as transformers, current voltage transformers and current transformers. So the reliability of this protection system must be analyzed based on IEC standardization which has been determined by the reality that occurs in the field of its status within the standard fairness period or more or less than that.
