Abstract

Industrial Automation Systems are based on Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Human Machine Interface (HMI). In a company that produces vitamin C drinks. The automation system used already supports the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Internet of Things (IoT) systems. However, several previous production machine automation systems could not be monitored and controlled remotely. This system is less effective for technicians and several other departments who have to carry out monitoring processes, acquisition of machine control data directly to production machine rooms that are far away and are in process rooms which must remain sterile according to standards. Therefore it is necessary to have an automation system that can meet these needs. Based on the research results, a design and implementation of Filling Machine Optimization with the SCADA system has been made using the Weintek MT8071IE HMI based on Modbus TCP/IP to remotely monitor and control the Filling machine. The communication used for data transmission from the HMI interface device to the phpMyAdmin website and the RealVNC Viewer application is based on Modbus TCP/IP with a baud rate of 9600 bps and an IP address using IPv4 (192.168.4.211). While the HMI communication with the Omron CS1G-CPU43 PLC uses an RS485 cable and NT-Link communication with the same baud rate of 9600 bps. This system has an average error percentage of 0% based on the scenario of parameter measurement test results with reference to the data displayed on the Weintek MT8071IE HMI. The results show that the SCADA system can run well and effectively.
