PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MEDIA ANIMASI BERBANTUAN APLIKASI POWTOON TERHADAP MOTIVASI BELAJAR IPA SISWA KELAS V SEKOLAH DASAR

This research was motivated by the low motivation of students in learning science in class V. Based on the results of observations in class V through filling out a questionnaire to students about motivation to learn science. It is known that 66% of the 83 students in the Sukamanah Cluster have low motivation to learn science in grade V. One way that can be used is by using animated learning media assisted by the Powtoon application. This study aims to determine the effect of using animated media assisted by the Powtoon application on students' motivation to learn science in grade V. The method in this study was an experimental method with a quasi-experimental type. The approach in this research method is a quantitative approach. The population in this study was class V of Cluster Sukamanah with a total of 314 students, the sample used was SD Negeri Selajambe 2 as an experimental class totaling 24 students and SD Negeri Kuta as a control class consisting of 36 students using random sampling technique. Data analysis techniques carried out in this study were Normality Test, Homogeneity Test and t- test. Based on the results of this study, there was a significant difference in the average learning motivation of the experimental class using animated media assisted by the Powtoon application with an average of 65.71% and the control class using conventional learning with an average of 54.29%.
