PENERAPAN MEDIA KARTU HURUF TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN MEMBACA PERMULAAN DI KELAS 1 SDN NEGERI SAWAHLEGA

Reading is a means for students to learn something that is not yet known and can broaden knowledge. To improve initial reading skills, it is necessary to apply media letter cards and to see students' initial reading abilities, this research uses (PTK). This study aims to determine the application of media letter cards to early reading skills of grade 1 SDN Sawahlega before and after media cards. This type of research is classroom action research (CAR) with a naturalistic approach and is not carried out for hypotheses. The research design used Lewin Kemmis and Mc Taggart, each step consisted of four stages, namely planning, observing and reflecting using 2 cycles, the subjects of this study were 32 grade 1 students at Sawahlega Elementary School. The research instruments used in this study were tests and observations. The form of the test used is the pre test and post test to measure students' initial reading ability. Test the validity in this study using content and construct validity. To measure students' initial reading skills.
