PENGARUH BIG FIVE PERSONALITY DAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR TERHADAP PROKRASTINASI AKADEMIK PADA MAHASISWA MANAJEMEN UNIVERSITAS NUSA PUTRA

This research was conducted to determine the effect of the Big Five Personality and learning motivation on academic procrastination in management students at Nusa Putra University. The data sample for this research consisted of 93 management students at Nusa Putra University from the 2019-2022 cohort which were obtained based on the slovin formula and using a proportional sampling technique. This study uses quantitative research with multiple linear regression approaches. Data processing uses the SPSS assistance program version 25. The results of the study show that the Big Five Personality has a significant effect on academic procrastination. Based on the results of the Spearman rank correlation test, it is known that there are two positive influences between the Extraversion and Neuroticism personality dimensions on academic procrastination while the others namely Openness to Experience, Conscientiousness and Agreeableness have a negative effect on academic procrastination, but from the five Big Five Personality dimensions which have a sufficient influence Strong against high and low academic procrastination is the Conscientiousness personality dimension. Then, it is known that learning motivation has a significant effect on academic procrastination and simultaneously it is known that the Big Five Personality and learning motivation have a significant effect on academic procrastination in management students at Nusa Putra University. That is, based on these results it can be concluded that the hypothesis set out in this study is accepted.
