PENGARUH GOOD CORPORATE GOVERNANCE, FREE CASH FLOW, DAN KEBIJAKAN DIVIDEN TERHADAP MANAJEMEN LABA DENGAN FINANCIAL DISTRESS SEBAGAI MODERASI PADA PERUSAHAAN MANUFAKTUR SEKTOR INDUSTRI BARANG DAN KONSUMSI DI BURSA EFEK INDONESIA PERIODE 2017-2021

This research aims to determine the influence of good corporate
governance, free cash flow and dividend policy on earnings management with
financial distress as moderation. The samples in this study were companies listed
on the Indonesian Stock Exchange in the Goods and Consumer Sector for the period
2017 to 2021 so that the sample obtained was 7 out of 51 populations. The sampling
technique used in this study was purposive sampling technique. The data analysis
techniques used are descriptive data analysis, classical assumption test, panel data
regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and regression analysis moderation test
using the help of eviews 12. The results of this study show that good corporate
governance through the proxy of managerial ownership has a negative effect,
institutional ownership , and independent commissioners have a positive effect on
earnings management, Free cash flow has a positive effect on earnings
management, and dividend policy has a negative effect on earnings management.
Financial distress is unable to moderate good corporate governance through the
proxies of managerial ownership, institutional ownership, and independent
commissioners on earnings management. Financial distress is able to moderate
free cash flow on earnings management and financial distress is not able to
moderate dividend policy on earnings management.
