Abstract

This study aims to analyze the priority of road pavement types in Sukabumi Regency based on road segment characteristics using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The data covers the period 2019–2024, including road length, road condition, traffic volume, and types of pavement applied. Data processing involved converting qualitative variables into quantitative values, calculating weights between criteria through pairwise comparisons, and evaluating AHP scores for each pavement alternative. The results show that Hotmix consistently achieves the highest AHP scores compared to other pavement types throughout the study period, making it the primary priority. The assessment of criteria consistency is valid, with a Consistency Ratio of 0.0086, well below the acceptable limit of 0.1. Analysis of road condition trends shows yearly fluctuations in road quality, highlighting the importance of regular monitoring and data updating. This study demonstrates that the AHP method is effective and systematic in determining the most suitable pavement type, providing a data- driven basis for local government decision-making, and supporting more efficient and sustainable infrastructure planning and maintenance.
