Abstract

The rapid development of industrial areas has significantly affected traffic movement patterns and the demand for supporting infrastructure, particularly during peak working hours. This study aims to analyze the trip generation and attraction at PT. Pratama Abadi Industri (JX), to evaluate the level of service on Jalan Raya Sukabumi, and to assess pedestrian facilities. The methodology employed refers to the Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual (PKJI) 2023 for urban road performance analysis, while pedestrian facility assessment is based on Ministry of Public Works Regulation No. 03/PRT/M/2014. Traffic volume surveys and field observations were conducted over five consecutive weekdays (Monday–Friday). The results indicate that the highest traffic volume occurred on Thursday at 05.30–06.30 AM, reaching 3,745 vehicles/hour or 1,520.75 passenger car units (PCU)/hour. The peak trip attraction was recorded on Thursday morning at 513.55 PCU/hour, while the highest trip generation occurred on Thursday afternoon at 04.00–05.00 PM with 590.35 PCU/hour. The degree of saturation analysis produced a value of DS = 0.79, which according to PKJI 2023 corresponds to Level of Service (LOS) D, indicating unstable traffic conditions approaching maximum capacity.Pedestrian path observations revealed that the facilities are generally still adequate, supported by drainage, safety barriers, traffic signs, and green lanes. However, several issues were identified, including damaged pedestrian paths, street vendors, illegal parking, and the lack of supporting amenities such as trash bins and seating. Therefore, improvements and reorganization of pedestrian infrastructure are necessary to enhance safety, health, and comfort for workers within the industrial environment.
