Abstract

The impact of using steel in residential roof structures is related to green building issues, particularly in reducing the use of natural resources in residential building structures. This study aims to analyze the trend in the growth of row house demand, develop a predictive model for the use of wood and light steel materials in roof frame structures, and forecast the volume of wood and light steel usage for roof frame structures over the next 10 years in Sukabumi Regency. The research produced a model for the demand of wooden and light steel roof frames: y = 223.6x
+ 3281.8. Based on the assumption of 100% demand for either wood or light steel, it is predicted that by 2034—divided into three scenarios—the following will occur: in Scenario I, the demand for wood is 218.504,88 bars in light steel is 542.951,52 bars. In Scenario II, the demand for wood is 109.252,44 bars in light steel is
610.820.46 bars. Meanwhile, in Scenario III, with a total 100% usage of light steel, the demand reaches 678.689,40 bars.
