ANALISIS PENGENDALIAN PERSEDIAAN BAHAN BAKU MENGGUNAKAN METODE ECONOMIC ORDER QUANTITY (EOQ) PADA UMKM BAKSO XYZ

Raw material inventory management needs to be managed properly to avoid draining business capital, especially in MSMEs. XYZ Meatballs MSME is one of the home-scale businesses (home industry) that has not yet implemented inventory management. Therefore, this study aims to determine the raw material inventory control system implemented, the application of the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method in determining the optimal amount of raw material orders, and the efficient level of Safety Stock through the application of the EOQ method in XYZ Meatballs MSME. This study uses a mix methods approach. Data were obtained from documentation of raw material purchasing and usage data, as well as ordering and storage cost data for the period January - December 2024 and interviews with XYZ Meatballs MSME employees. The analysis was carried out descriptively by calculating the values of Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Total Inventory Cost (TIC), Safety Stock (SS), and Reorder Point (ROP). The results of the study indicate that the inventory control system implemented by XYZ Meatballs MSME is still conventional and inefficient. By applying the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method, the optimal order quantity is 874 kg per cycle with an order frequency of 6 times per year. The total annual inventory cost with the EOQ method, including the cost of additional storage facilities, is Rp 4,858,412.62, which is lower than the conventional method which reaches Rp 6,609,600.00. The safety stock obtained is 144.74 kg with a reorder point (ROP) of 178.25 kg. The EOQ method provides a more efficient and measurable solution in controlling raw material inventory, reducing inventory costs, and maintaining the continuity of the production process at XYZ Meatballs MSMEs more optimally.
