Abstract

Keeping pets has become an integral part of many people’s lives. Indonesia has the highest number of households with cats in Southeast Asia. The growing cat population is not always accompanied by sufficient awareness and knowledge of owners regarding pet healthcare. Therefore, an accessible and informative digital approach is needed to raise awareness of the importance of recognizing disease symptoms in cats as early as possible. A UI/UX-based application can serve as a supportive medium, not as a diagnostic tool or a substitute for professionals, but as an aid to provide information on potential feline diseases and preventive recommendations. The design process in this study adopted the Design Thinking method, which includes five stages: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. User testing was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the application. The results indicate that the Fepaw application can help cat owners obtain information and preventive recommendations through its features such as articles, forums, detection, and consultation. The findings also suggest the need for further improvement in layout and interactive buttons to enhance navigation and usability.
