Abstract

3D printing technology has brought significant innovation across various industries due to its capability to fabricate three-dimensional objects layer by layer. One of the materials commonly used in 3D printing is TPU-95A filament, which is known for its mechanical strength and durability. However, the effect of printing parameter variations such as print speed and nozzle temperature on the mechanical properties of TPU-95A filament still requires further investigation. This study aims to determine the influence of print speed and nozzle temperature on the mechanical properties of 3D printed products using TPU-95A material. In this study, the printing parameters are divided into two categories: fixed parameters and variable parameters. The fixed parameters include a layer height of 0.15 mm, concentric infill pattern, 100% infill density, and bed temperature of 60°C. The variable parameters consist of print speed and nozzle temperature. The research findings indicate that variations in print speed and nozzle temperature significantly affect the quality of the printed products. The combination of 70 mm/s print speed and 230°C nozzle temperature yielded the highest hardness (79.4 Shore A), highest density (1.133 g/cm³), and highest tensile strength (31.258 MPa). Meanwhile, the combination of 90 mm/s print speed and 230°C nozzle temperature resulted in the highest elongation at break (156.2%).
