DETERMINAN KINERJA KEUANGAN PERUSAHAAN MANUFAKTUR (Studi Perusahan Sub Sektor Makanan dan Minuman yang Terdaftar di BEI Tahun 2019-2023)

The business sector in Indonesia has developed very rapidly in recent years. The number of companies listed as going public on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) is proof of this. Over the last 2 years, several companies such as Nippon Indosari Corporindo Tbk, Wilmar Cahaya Indonesia Tbk, Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk, Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk, experienced a decline in sales which had an impact on financial performance. In this research the theory used is Signaling Theory. The signals or information presented can be considered as an input process used by businesses to provide information to investors which is expected to be able to change the evaluation of the signal recipient (investor), using quantitative research methods. The research results show that CSR has a positive effect on financial performance. The higher the CSR disclosure, the better the financial performance obtained by the company. This aims to improve the company's financial performance in increasing corporate social responsibility. The Leverage variable has a negative effect on financial performance. Companies that have liabilities in the form of burdens on assets financed by high debt can cause high capital costs. The variable company size has a positive effect on financial performance. This is because Company Size (SIZE) which is measured using the natural logarithm of total assets reflects the actual asset value, so Company Size can be a guarantee of good company performance.
