PERANCANGAN KATALOG PRODUK GOLOK CIBATU SUKABUMI BERBASIS AUGMENTED REALITY (AR) SEBAGAI UPAYA PROMOSI BUDAYA LOKAL

Golok Cibatu is a traditional handcrafted product originating from the Cibatu region in Sukabumi, which holds strong cultural and historical value within the local community. However, over time, its popularity and the public's understanding of its cultural significance have gradually declined. Therefore, a more innovative and interactive promotional medium is needed to attract the interest of today’s generation. This design project aims to create a product catalog for Golok Cibatu integrated with
Augmented Reality (AR) technology as a modern and educational promotional tool. The design process follows the Design Thinking method, which includes the stages of empathizing, defining the problem, ideating, prototyping, and testing. Data was collected through observation, interviews with local artisans, and literature studies related to both culture and AR technology. The final outcome is a product catalog that visually documents Golok Cibatu in both printed and interactive formats. By scanning markers in the catalog, users can view three-dimensional representations of the golok along with information on the various types and their respective functions. This design
is expected to serve as an effective promotional medium to introduce Golok Cibatu products while also revitalizing and promoting local cultural values to a wider audience through a more engaging and modern approach.
