PERANCANGAN FILM EDUKASI SEBAGAI MEDIA PENCEGAHAN BAHAYA PETASAN UNTUK KALANGAN ANAK DAN REMAJA

This study addresses the use of firecrackers among children and adolescents, which often results in physical injuries and psychological trauma. Data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health recorded over 1,500 firecracker-related injuries in 2020, with most victims being children and adolescents. A lack of education about the dangers of firecrackers exacerbates this issue. This research aims to design and evaluate the
effectiveness of an educational film as a preventive medium against firecracker hazards. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through observations, interviews, and case studies, then analyzed using the SWOT method. The results show
that educational films effectively raise awareness of firecracker dangers, with 70% of children in the Kp. Taman Bakti community and PAUD SPS Teratai I becoming more cautious after watching the film. Positive responses were also received from parents
and teachers. This study concludes that educational films are effective tools for raising awareness and promoting safer behavior. Wider distribution through digital platforms and collaboration with educational institutions are recommended to expand the audience reach.
