Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of authentic assessment of attitudes on improving student learning discipline and self-confidence. The method used is a survey with a quantitative approach. The research sample consists of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Cikawung and SD Negeri 2 Cikawung, with data collection techniques using questionnaires, interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using simple linear regression techniques with the help of
SPSS software. The results of the study indicate that authentic assessment in the attitude domain has a positive and significant effect on students' learning discipline, as evidenced by an F value of 7.172, which is greater than the F table value of 4.016
and a significance level of 0.010 < 0.05, with a percentage of 11.5%. Additionally, authentic assessment also significantly influenced students' self-confidence, as indicated by an F value of 13.007 > 4.016 with a significance level of 0.001 < 0.05.
The percentage was 19.1%. Authentic assessment applied consistently can encourage students to be more disciplined in their studies and enhance their self-confidence in the learning process. These findings emphasize the importance of implementing authentic assessment as an evaluation strategy that not only measures cognitive aspects but also attitudinal aspects that impact students' character development.
