Abstract
This study focuses on designing the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) of a mobile application called "Explore," aimed at promoting tourist destinations in the Ciletuh-Palabuhanratu Geopark by applying the User-Centered Design (UCD) approach. The primary issue addressed is the lack of comprehensive and real-time information about all tourist spots in the area, which leads to an imbalance in visitor distribution between popular and lesser-known locations. The UCD methodology was implemented through the stages of context analysis, defining requirements, design, and evaluation. A key feature of the application is an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based chatbot that serves as a virtual assistant. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews with respondents familiar with the Ciletuh Geopark. The usability evaluation using the System Usability Scale (SUS) yielded a score of 83.5, classified as “Excellent,” indicating that the designed prototype meets users' needs and expectations. These findings demonstrate that the UCD approach, combined with the integration of AI, effectively enhances information delivery and overall user experience for tourists.
