Abstract
Extreme temperatures can impair the performance and shorten the lifespan of wet batteries. This research develops an automatic temperature monitoring and control system based on ESP-32 with Mamdani Fuzzy Logic and IoT for battery storage. The system uses a DHT22 sensor for temperature, a PIR sensor for motion, a DC fan, and a light, with data sent in real-time via MQTT to a web dashboard. The software implements Mamdani Fuzzy Logic with 15 rules to control the fan and light. The accuracy testing of the DHT22 sensor shows a Mean Absolute Error (MAE) of 0.54 °C and a Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) of 0.599 °C. The system is tested at temperatures of 20°C (light on), 35°C (fan on), and 40°C (both on). Fuzzy validation shows a difference in average error of less than 5%, and a PIR response time of less than 1 second. Implementation has proven the system's effectiveness in maintaining temperature stability, reducing the risk of overheating, and improving operational efficiency automatically, energy-efficiently, and sustainably.
