Abstract

Learning difficulties experienced by students are often related to psychological aspects, such as low self-confidence, anxiety, and lack of motivation. The purpose of this study is to determine the description of student learning difficulties, the role of teachers, and effective counseling strategies to help elementary school students overcome learning difficulties in psychological aspects. This study aims to analyze the role of teachers in creating inclusive education that supports counseling services for students at SDN 1 Cicurug. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods and a case study design to describe the conditions in the field. Data were obtained through observations, interviews, document studies and documentation involving teachers, students and peers. The results showed that the role of teachers at SDN 1 Cicurug had not fully created an inclusive learning environment and supported counseling services. Teachers tend to be less responsive to students' psychological needs, making it difficult for students to get the necessary support. Therefore, teachers who are competent in understanding students' psychological aspects and implementing more effective inclusive education strategies are needed to help students overcome learning difficulties in psychological aspects. With comprehensive support from the surrounding environment, teachers and others, students will have greater opportunities to reach their academic potential and develop holistically in the context of education.
