Abstract
The advancement of information technology has had a significant impact on human life, one of which is the dissemination of pornographic content through social media. This criminal act not only damages public morality but also threatens social order by causing widespread social consequences. Law enforcement against pornography crimes through the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (UU ITE) and the Pornography Law faces various challenges, particularly related to the use of technology in committing such crimes. One alternative approach that can be applied is Restorative Justice, which focuses on restoring relationships between perpetrators, victims, and society. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Restorative Justice in cases of pornographic video dissemination through social media by perpetrators at the Sukabumi Police Resort (Polres Sukabumi) and to examine how Polres Sukabumi considers the application of Restorative Justice in pornography crimes. The research method used is an empirical juridical approach, with data collection through interviews, documentation, and literature studies, as well as qualitative data analysis. The results show that although pornography crimes are generally considered serious offenses that cannot be resolved through Restorative Justice, Polres Sukabumi applies it by considering the material and formal requirements for its implementation, one of which is a peace agreement between the perpetrator and the victim. However, the implementation of Restorative Justice at Polres Sukabumi has not yet fully incorporated recovery values for both the perpetrator and the victim, particularly in terms of long-term rehabilitation and the emotional recovery of the victim. Therefore, improvements are needed in a more comprehensive recovery mechanism, including monitoring the development of both perpetrators and victims after the implementation of Restorative Justice.
