Abstract

The need for complete and adequate facilities and infrastructure coincides with the increasing number of students and students. SMP-ITQ Al-Fath Sukabumi plans to increase the number of floors in the existing building with 1 (one) floor. It is necessary to carry out a building structure analysis of the plan for adding floors both due to gravity loads and seismic or earthquake influences. The results of the inspection of the existing structure on the compressive strength of the concrete were obtained from the hammer test method with an average FCK value of 25 N/mm2 or K-254.9 Kg/cm2. The characteristic value of concrete is converted to fc' quality in Megapascal (MPa) units, namely 20.75 MPa. The results of the analysis of the portal structure due to gravity loads with minimum dimensions on the beam, namely for the beam height is 1/16 span, the portal structure is still strong in withstanding the working load, but the portal structure is not strong in withstanding earthquakes. Under these conditions, the beam dimensions must be enlarged. On beam B1, dimensions are enlarged by dividing the span length by 13 (L/13). Meanwhile, on beam B2, the dimensions are enlarged by dividing the span length by 10 (L/10). The results of increasing the dimensions of the portal structure are resistant to seismic effect. The shear stress capacity and torque acting simultaneously on the beam are greater than the ultimate stress that occurs. In the analysis with the Etabs program, the number of variations and mass partition showed results above 90%. Deviations between floors that occur do not exceed the permitted limits. So for earthquake resistant structural design, a review of the minimum dimensional standards can be carried out.
