Abstract
The ever-evolving modern lighting technology affects our daily lives and encourages us to be more creative. In the rest area prayer room, users often do not know where the power outlet is to turn the lights on or off, or forget to turn the lights off after praying, which can waste electricity and the risk of short circuits. To overcome this problem, the author designed an IoT-based automatic lighting system using Mamdani Fuzzy Logic. This system utilizes two PIR sensors to detect movement and an LDR sensor to measure light levels, and is connected to a telegram bot. The PIR sensor notifies whether there is movement or not, while the LDR sensor measures whether the environment is dark or bright. Based on this information, the system sets the lights to "off" or "bright" as needed. The telegram bot also provides notifications about the status of the lights and allows the prayer room manager to control the lights remotely. This study aims to save electricity and increase comfort with sensor technology and wifi communication, and to produce a prototype as a solution. System testing shows that all results are in accordance with the established rules. Although initially experiencing problems with the Arduino and SIM800L module, this system works well after being replaced with a NodeMCU that is directly connected to the internet.
