Abstract
This study aims to examine the influence of Financial slack, Profitability, and Government Regulation on Corporate social responsibility expenditure (CSRE) in food and beverage sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2019-2023 period. Using purposive sampling, 17 companies were selected as the sample. Secondary data were obtained from the annual and sustainability reports published by these companies. The independent variables examined are Financial slack, measured through the Current Ratio; Profitability, measured by Return on Assets (ROA); and Government Regulation, measured using a dummy scale based on the compliance of annual reports with Law No. 40 of 2007 on Limited Liability Companies. The study results indicate that Financial slack does not influence CSRE, while Profitability and Government Regulation do have an impact on CSRE.
