ANALISIS KINERJA SIMPANG TAK BERSINYAL 10 TAHUN MENDATANG PADA SIMPANG KARANG TENGAH – NAGRAK DAN JALAN CIBADAK

Sukabumi Regency, the largest regency in West Java, faces significant challenges in road infrastructure development and urban mobility. Rapid population and vehicle growth have not been matched with adequate infrastructure, causing traffic congestion and declining mobility quality, particularly at the Karang Tengah – Cibadak and Nagrak intersections. This study aims to analyze the performance of these intersections over the next 10 years and propose road widening solutions. The performance analysis uses the 2023 Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI) to evaluate the current capacity and saturation of the intersections. Traffic volume projections for the next 10 years were made using statistical forecasting methods, including the least square method. The study results show that road widening can increase the capacity from 2505.16 pcu/hour to 2846.19 pcu/hour and reduce the saturation degree from 0.809 to 0.71 in 2023. After widening, the Dj values were recalculated for the next 10 years. From 2023 to 2025, the Dj values below 0.85 indicate acceptable conditions according to PKJI 2023. However, from 2026 to 2033, the Dj values remain high above 0.85, indicating that road capacity is approaching its maximum limit.
